August 23

To all V15 buyers and potential buyers we will be meeting this Thursday August 23 at Matt's in Lakewood to hammer out details on buying new or used boats. Rachel at KO Sailing has done a lot of work on putting packages together for V15. I will have all the paper work on what numbers look like and what to expect. To people who have not said anything to me about buying let me know what you’re thinking. Right now we have six people buying new and a few used boats. WE NEED TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF ASAP!

Soon we will be having our first Friday party at Corinthian Sailing Club August 3!! All you need to do is show up, bring $10 bucks and you get all you can drink and eat. They will have beer, wine, probably a margarita machine, and if you want bring your own stuff you can BYOBB.

There will be at least two V-15 out sailing that night, contingent on the wind. This will be our PR for CSC on V-15. The theme of the party is Island Breeze. The dress is Hawaiian shirts/Jimmy Buffet dress code or whatever is comfortable for you. The party starts at 7pm and will last untill 11pm.

If you have not made any of the social events, I encourage you to come to this one and meet the sailors in Dallas. We are friendly! Everyone is more than welcome to bring significant other or friends to this party. We welcome everybody at CSC & RCYC to join the sailing community of Dallas/Ft Worth. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. We need everyone to show up for this party, remember strength in numbers.

V15er’s,

We need help this weekend for the One Night Stand Regatta. Please let us know if you think you can make it. Even if you don’t have any experience please think about coming and crewing for a lap or two. Trust me you do not want to miss this party and sailing event and, you don’t have to stay the entire time. We will also have 2 V15’s out all Saturday if you would like to come and test the boats out. So please let me know if you think you can make it.

As far as accommodations you are more than welcome to crash at Kenny’s, Max’s or camp. We will have a team camp set up so people can drink, sail, crash, drink, sail, and finally crash when they are completely done. Please forward to anyone you think might enjoy a nice night out at the lake.

The Margarita-ville party begins on the deck with an All Burger Menu beginning at 5 PM followed by the band, Bad Monkey, at 7 PM. There will be contests for Best (wooden) Legs, Hairy(est) Chest, and other appropriate awards through out the night.

The One Night Stand Regatta consists of an all night race with teams taking turns sailing on J22's. You don't need a boat or even any sailing experience. Come on out and we'll put you on one of the teams.

The skipper's meeting is at 5:30 PM and the race lasts til 7 AM. Points are awarded for the number of laps your team sails and the number of different sailors participating on each team. You can sail early or late or just cheer on your favorite team. It will be fun all night long. Bloody Mary's in the parking lot in the morning and Sunday breakfast at the club.

The place to be this Saturday Night is Rush Creek Yacht Club. Bring your friend and don't miss out on the FUN!

Band starts at 7:00 p.m. till 11:00 p.m.
Best (wooden) Legs, Hairy(est) Chest, and other Misc Contests through out the night
